In Morocco, Santa Claus is known as "Père Noël" which translates to Father Christmas. He is not a traditional figure in Moroccan culture, as Christmas is not widely celebrated in the country due to its predominantly Muslim population. However, in recent years, the commercial aspects of Christmas, including the figure of Père Noël, have become more prominent in urban areas with large expatriate populations or in tourist areas. In these areas, Santa Claus is often depicted in shopping malls, hotels, and other festive displays during the holiday season. Despite this, Santa Claus does not have the same cultural significance in Morocco as he does in Western countries.
